Our Story

Niconium is the brainchild of Yash Kathotia, co-founder of Digital Polo. Having successfully recruited full time artists and web developers for several clients, he decided to launch a dedicated remote recruitment service that connects employers with highly sought after skilled Indians. Niconium’s goal is to help companies become more competitive and grow their operations. Think of us as your friendly offshore HR department

Our Process

We follow a 4 step process to ensure a perfect match between the company and the individual. Depending on the desired skill set and stated conditions, the entire process can take anywhere between 2 weeks to 3 months as companies might require us to do a few rounds of evaluation before their team gets involved. Inquiry

The Company (aka client) sends us a basic message specifying the role they are interested in hiring for. They can either do this via our contact form or drop us an email on hello@niconium.com. A representative scans the email and shares a detailed questionnaire and a contract for the company to fill and sign. The questionnaire includes details about the job, timings, desired skills, evaluation tests/assignments etc. The contract specifies payment terms and schedule of payment.

Sourcing & Filtering

Once the representative receives the filled questionnaire, he informs the company of the expected monthly remuneration. Upon confirmation, he makes the necessary job posting on various platforms to attract potential candidates. He goes through their CV/resume and portfolio to shortlist suitable candidates. Then basis the questionnaire shared by the company, the suitable candidates are interviewed to check for a match and a test/assignment is given (if required).

Evaluation & Selection

Based on the interview and/or test results, we share the details of a 2-3 possible matches with the company. They may choose to conduct another round of interview and/or test before giving a final confirmation. If the candidate is selected, he can sign a conditional job acceptance contract subject to clearance of payment by the company. Upon receiving the payment, Niconium relieves the candidate and he can legally join.

Feedback

1 month after a successful recruitment, we take feedback from the company about the candidate and balance payment. If the company is not satisfied, we provide another candidate on priority so that the impact on the company’s work is minimal.

What do you charge for sourcing and recruiting candidates?

 Our fee is 1 month’s gross salary from the company. The company pays 50% after the candidate accepts the job and 50% after completion of 1 month of service. Those companies who want us to keep the employees on our payroll are charged an additional fee of 2.5% per month on Gross Salary. These terms are mentioned in the contract that we send to companies prior to recruitment.

What if I don’t like the candidate or have complaints?

You can let go of the candidate after the 1st month and request a replacement without paying the 50% advance fee again.

Do you monitor the tasks that we give to the remote person?

We don’t. We are an offshore recruitment service. We are not responsible for the candidate’s day to day performance as he/she is your employee and a member of your team. Once the candidate accepts the job, our work is over.

Can I give your team a test/assignment to filter potential candidates?
Yes, of course. In the questionnaire, you can choose to let us know if there are specific skills to be tested in any particular way OR you can also provide us with your standard test that every interested candidate needs to take.

Will the candidate work and be available during my working hours?
Yes, so when we create a job posting, we mention the specific working hours as per your time zone. Only those candidates who are comfortable working such hours are shortlisted for further evaluation.

Is there any minimum contract period for which I need to keep the candidate?

This has to be specified in the questionnaire prior to recruitment. You can specify if the job is temporary, fixed term, flexible, permanent etc.
